Using a VIS for Yearly Planning

The Crew President or Program (2nd) VP should take the lead in the administration of the survey to the greatest extent possible.

Select the VIS to use and make copies for each young man in the Crew.

Instruct each young man to mark about 10 to 12 activities that he would most want to do.

Tally all of the choices onto one sheet to see which activities got the most votes.

Copy all of the choices onto newsprint or some other media that can be seen by a large group.  List the choices in order of those activities with the most votes.

Have this list available when preparing the yearly calendar. Plug the activities with the most votes into the calendar. Try to include all activities that had at least 3(?) votes.

Keep the activity list on the computer for use in future years.  Add to the list as new ideas come up so that your own VIS activity list keeps getting better and better.
